The advantage of technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To date, the most common methods for diagnosing Salmonella infections are culture-based tests, however, despite their high sensitivity and specificity, they are labor- and time-consuming tests. Rapid and relatively inexpensive methods for identifying Salmonella bacteria include genetic tests. Due to low equipment requirements<\/strong>, genetic isothermal testing<\/strong> methods are an ideal diagnostic solution for rapid veterinary diagnostics and in the food industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal of the project is to develop a method for genetic diagnosis of Salmonella bacteria<\/strong> that does not require a full procedure for isolating genetic material from a sample. To this end, we are implementing the Real-Time Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP)<\/strong> method, creating a simplified sample procedure technique that will make it possible to use an approach known as Direct-LAMP. This is currently the fastest possible solution for laboratory testing to verify the presence of Salmonella bacteria. Due to its low hardware requirements, genetic isothermal testing methods are an ideal diagnostic solution for rapid veterinary diagnostics and in the food industry<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test kit will include:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Buffer kit for sample storage and\/or accelerated isolation of genetic material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • MasterMix (mixture containing all components of the amplification reaction except the sample to be analyzed and possibly water) for Salmonella detection containing all necessary components of the assay (including strand displacement polymerase, dNTPs, UDG) and possibly an internal control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Positive control of the test – cDNA for genome fragments amplified at the amplification stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Optional inhibition control – confirming the absence of inhibitors in the biological sample.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
